These simple policies are set out here so that they can be understood by students and parents in advance, and so that we can focus entirely on music when in lessons!

Lesson and Cancellation Policy
1.) Lesson lengths offered are 30 minutes for young beginners up to age 6 and 60 minutes for all other ages. 60-minute lessons include 15 minutes of focused ear training in the audio lab following 45 minutes of individualized instruction at the piano. 30 minutes cost $25 and $60 minutes $45.
2.) It is important that students make their piano lessons a priority in their schedules and honor their commitments to their booked time slots. Additional time slots for missed lessons cannot be given.
3.)Tuition for each month is due with the first lesson. Two emergency cancellations per term are allowed.
4.) Snow and ice cancellations are additionally granted to the two emergency cancellations per term.
5.)Student cancellations and teacher cancellations are made up during July and August in the form of group lessons.
6.) The Fall term runs from: 7. September – 30. January and the Spring term from: 1. February – 30. June.
7.) During July and August students are required to attend 50% of lessons.
8.) Students may discontinue lessons with a written and dated two-lesson notice.

Student Referral Bonus
Students who refer friends to the studio receive two lesson credits each time.

Parents of Young Students
Young beginners must bring an accompanying parent, sibling, or nanny to lessons. The adult will learn the books and exercises alongside with the student to be able to support them at home in their daily practice, thereby ensuring success.

Recitals
Both semesters end with student recitals. The required participation helps students to be ambitious and remain focused on their goals.
